Beginner Class
No prerequisites, over 5 months of age.
This is a 1-hour weekly course that meets for 5 weeks, designed to teach you to get the attention of your dog and have him/her follow basic commands. Combination of behavioral instruction with you and your dog, and presentation of materials to pet parents. (Same content as “Puppy Class,” which is described elsewhere for older dogs. LINK)

- Watch Me – paying attention
- Down (lay down)
- Sit /Stay –with distance
- Down/Stay-with distance
- Come
- Leave It / Take It / Drop It
- Sitting Politely for Petting – no jumping
- Loose lease walking- no pulling, automatic sit when stopped, walking with some distractions.
